CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION: WHERE OUR HAPPINESS IS CELEBRATED
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION: WHERE OUR HAPPINESS IS CELEBRATED
At its heart, the Christmas season is all about love, hope, and selflessness. It is, however, a time when people, despite the pretty lights, the presents, and the parties, are reminded of the importance of being nice and kind to each other. It is a time when people are more willing to open their hearts, love one another, and forgive one another. The truth is, Christmas offers all a chance to think about the significance of caring for others.
Christmas brings to light the fact that the giving spirit is the one that truly matters, not
that of receiving. To give one’s blessings—whether it is through gifts, time, or just little deeds—are all in line with the very reason for the season. To give handouts to the needy, to be beside and talk to the lonely, and to give emotional support to the distressed is to show that Christmas is not about hoarding wealth but rather about sharing love and understanding. These love-giving acts are what produce a feeling of closeness and warmth among not only families but also communities.
For a lot of people around the globe, the Christmas time is of enormous spiritual import. It is the feast of the Lord’s birth, whose coming is the promise of redemption through his humble, peaceful, and non-violent ways. This spiritual basis confronts people with the values of the season such as faith, hope, and love. So, the season raises the question of how strong is one’s spiritual life and how good is one’s relationship with God?
Ultimately, the reality of Christmas is that it is a time for people to be together and share
hope that has been renewed. Christmas is that time when people no longer see the dark side of life but the bright one, and they also learn to not only love and to be generous during the holidays but also to do so throughout the year. If Christmas is celebrated according to the true meaning, it turns out not to be just a day in the calendar but a lifestyle that is based on compassion and peace.

What a great outlook about the season! Hope to see more.
