 Celebrate the Tradition of Ilocos Sur


    The Intayon Ilocos Sur Festival is a vibrant cultural celebration that is held in the province of Ilocos Sur. The word "Intayon" means "let's go" in Ilocano. A joyful invitation for everyone to come together and celebrate unity, heritage, and progress. The festival showcases the strong community spirit of Ilocano showing the local products, traditions and shared history.



One of the highlights of the festival is the colourful street dancing and cultural performances presented by the different municipalities. Participants wear colourful and bright traditional inspired costumes and perform to lively music that reflects the Ilocano pride.






The festival also promotes tourism and local businesses. Visitors can enjoy food fairs featuring famous delicacies such as longganisa, bagnet, and empanada. Trade exhibits allow local entrepreneurs  to display handmade crafts, textiles, and agricultural products. Through these activities,, the festival helps boosts the local economy while preserving cultural identity.



More than a celebration, the "Intayon Ilocos Festival" symbolizes the unity among towns and cities in the province. It reminds everyone that prgress is stronger when communities move forward together. "Intayon" means is not just an invitation to attend festival. It is call to celebrate heritage, cooperation, and pride in being an Ilocano.
